 best bang for your buck!May 21, 2010
i've had this grip for about a month and it has been great! it does what is supposed to do, it feels great. the only negative thing that caught my attention is that the wheel on my camera body didnt work ONE TIME. i just shut the camera down and restarted it.. no problem.. other than that... i love this thing!!... i leave it on the camera 27/7. just get it already!!!

OEM markings, same mat finish as camera, the rubber feels nicer and more supple then the camera's own. Overall construction and finish is nice. Attaches easily to the T1i body, feels firm. The shutter button does have a slightly softer feel as other already stated. I really like the on/off button for the controls preventing accidental exposure lock with your palm while shooting horizontal. I love the ergonomics! My hands are not the largest but I was having trouble holding the camera with two fingers off the camera. Even though I not want to make the camera an even larger object, I am very pleased, overall I can not fit the camera into my pants pocket anyhow like a P&S so I might as well have a firmer grip on it. I have not put the grip and battery accessories through all its paces so I will add to my review later if needed.

Great addition to my Canon T1iMay 02, 2010
I just bought the Canon T1i and didn't know if the battery pack would fit. I called Zeikos and they told be it would fit so I ordered it. I got the pack today and here's my comments:
The rubber texture is a bit different than that of the T1i
The color of the plastic/rubber matches the T1i
The fit is perfect, no gaps
All buttons work OK
Feels great when holding the camera
Looks good on the camera
Once I get the extra battery I ordered the battery life should improve greatly. Happy I got this product.

Well, my package arrived today and I am happy with the results.
The grip fits my Rebel XS like it was part of the camera, and I was particularly impressed with the battery door storage compartment. This allows you to store the camera's battery door, which must be removed, inside the battery grip so it doesn't get misplaced.
Many people who reviewed this product mentioned a lighter, softer or otherwise different tactile feel to the vertical shutter button on the grip. I have not noticed this. I repeatedly switched back and forth between the camera's shutter button and the one on the grip and there was almost no perceptible difference to me. I never felt like I had to try not to accidentally press the button or anything like that.
For the money, this looks like it's a nice, solid unit that would be comparable to the OEM part. The control buttons' painted icons match those on the camera body. And it has comfortable ergonomics.
I primarily bought this grip to be able to get a better grip on the camera, and it excels in that capacity. As far as I'm concerned, the added battery capacity, ability to use AA's in a pinch, and the vertical shutter button are all just bonuses.
Another thing that I'm pleased with is that it will allow me to mount a hand strap for a more secure grip.

This battery grip is fantastic, easy to use and very well made. I got it on Christmas, charged both batteries and 2 months, 800 pictures, countless flash uses later and the batteries are still on full. I haven't had to charge the batteries in 2 months, is that crazy or what...I love this.
